Week 3 Picks
By Fergal Carroll
It’s only Week 3 and we are already at a halfway point…of sorts. Lets dig into this week’s picks!
Picks
Five players have managed to make it all the way to week…three! Tony Christ’s two favourite Js lead the pack with their buyback still intact. They are looking strong favourites to go the distance at this stage of the competition.
The One Multiple Picks
We have a diverse range of picks this week. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the only team with multiple selections. Eoin and Gary will be hoping that Baker Mayfield will continue his reign as QB1 as the Bucs welcome the Denver Broncos to Raymond James Stadium.
The Two Js
Jack continues his love/hate affair with the Bengals. Opting to bet against them last week, he thinks they can get the business done this against the Commanders on the second of two MNF games. He will be hoping to keep that buy back in the backpocket for as long as possible.
John chose the San Francisco 49ers against a heavily depleted L.A Rams. The Rams are not only missing star WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua but have a total of 10 players on their injured reserve list. The 49ers have their own injury concerns, star running back Christian McCaffery was placed on IR last week and Deebo Samuel is expected to miss “a few weeks” according to Kyle Shanahan.
Minshew Mania!
To round out the picks, Kev has chosen to don the black & silver of the Raiders and join in the Minshew Mmania. The Raiders pulled off a big upset last week against the heavily favoured Baltimore Ravens. They will be hoping for a much smoother victory against the Carolina Panthers. Andy Dalton was declared starting QB this week, might Kev regret this choice? While you deliberate that question, here is a picture of Gardner Minshew to help you choose! Intimidating, no?
With a MNF selection, it’s going to be a long week, so buckle in! Good luck everyone!
RIP
We lost fours players this week, so say a prayer for a our downed men when you have the time ✨🙏✨
The league has officially lost half its players. But the question remains, who will join them next?
